My Thoughts Exactly

Alright minions gather 'round! Sarah Kerrigan here Queen of Blades reporting live from... well wherever you get Wi Fi in the Koprulu Sector. Heard the news? Joby Aviation those hopeful Terrans trying to build flying taxis just got another pile of credits – $250 million to be exact – from Toyota. Seems like someone's finally figuring out that zipping around in the air is way better than bumper to bumper traffic. But I knew it all along. After all who needs a car when you can fly like a Queen? (Or a Mutalisk but let's stick to the classy analogies.)

Toyota's Got the Minerals?

Toyota's not just throwing money at these guys; they're actually helping Joby build these things. Seems they're streamlining manufacturing and optimizing design – I guess that's what Terrans call 'building additional pylons'. Their CEO says it's a big step in scaling electric flight. I say it's about time! Maybe they can finally give me a decent way to get around without all the pesky Battlecruisers trying to shoot me down.

Deeper Integration? Sounds...Intense

Joby also chirped about 'deepening integration' with Toyota to deliver 'next generation travel'. Honestly that sounds a little too Borg like for my taste. Last thing we need is Toyota assimilating our transportation systems. Though imagine hybrid Starcraft units...Marine Hydralisk? Zergling Siege Tank? The possibilities (and the nightmares) are endless.

Helicopters But Make It Electric!

So what are these eVTOLs anyway? Fancy helicopters basically. They take off and land like choppers but they're electric which means they're supposed to be better for the environment. Right because nothing says eco friendly like launching a metal bird into the sky. I still think a good old fashioned Zerg Rush is the most efficient way to travel but what do I know?

Traffic? Where We're Going We Don't Need Traffic

The idea is these things will reduce traffic and emissions. Which sounds great until you realize we'll probably just have air traffic jams instead. And knowing humans they'll find a way to pollute the sky just as badly as the ground. Still it's a start. Maybe one day we'll have a whole fleet of these things ferrying overlords around. Now *that's* progress.

Rivals and Flying Cars – Oh My!

Of course there's always competition. United Airlines is partnering with some other company to launch their own air taxi service. So get ready for the air taxi wars folks! As for flying cars finally becoming a reality? Don't hold your breath. Remember what happened to the last guy who promised me the stars? Hint: He's now fish food swimming near Char.

I still prefer trains. More reliable, and you can actually walk around.
