Numbers Don't Lie (Usually)

Alright let's break this down. Alphabet or as I like to call them the guys who still haven't figured out how to beat me at poker just dropped their earnings. $2.81 a share on $90.23 billion in revenue. Not bad for a company that probably spends more on kombucha than some countries' GDP. They beat expectations which let's be honest is the bare minimum. I expect to beat expectations every damn day. You don't get to my level by merely meeting them.

AI: The New Black (Again)

Everyone's wetting themselves over AI. GenAI Large language models you name it. Alphabet's throwing their hat in the ring. Morgan Stanley's Brian Nowak seems to think they're doing alright which is good I guess. But let's be real it's a land grab. And in this game you either eat or get eaten. I'm always hungry.

Trade Wars: The Only War That's Actually Dumb

Trump's tariffs are looming and everyone's sweating. Even Alphabet. Apparently acquiring infrastructure for data centers becomes a bit tricky when the world's economy is doing the tango on a razor's edge. Personally I think tariffs are for chumps. But hey what do I know? I just make money.

Ad Revenue: The Bread and Butter (and Caviar)

Advertising the lifeblood of these tech behemoths. Alphabet's raking it in $66.89 billion for the ad unit alone. YouTube however missed estimates slightly but who cares? It's still billions. I could buy a small country with that kind of cash. Maybe I should.

AI Overviews: Are We There Yet?

Their AI Overviews tool is apparently a hit with 1.5 billion monthly users. Bank of America's Justin Post thinks Wall Street's underestimating the potential. Maybe they are maybe they aren't. I learned a long time ago that Wall Street's usually wrong. That's how guys like me make a killing.

Final Thoughts: Invest or Fold?

So should you buy Alphabet stock? I'm not your financial advisor and even if I was I wouldn't tell you. Do your own damn research. But here's a hint: In this game information is power and power is everything. Remember kids a deal's a deal until a better deal comes along.
