These early trials will be crucial for ironing out the inevitable kinks. The question is: Will Londoners trust a car with no one behind the wheel?

Andrew MacDonald from Uber talks about making autonomy 'safe and reliable.' That's the key isn't it? Safety. Reliability. And maybe a little bit of that 'wow' factor. London traffic is definitely a unique environment but I think if the AI can handle the London Underground then it can handle anything. On the real the tech that Wayve is utilizing here is no joke so it is really interesting to see if this will be something that actually works.

SoftBank's Bet on the Future: Are Robotaxis the Next Big Thing?

SoftBank's backing Wayve. Smart move if you ask me. I have been known to throw money around. These guys are developing the brains of the self driving operation. It's all about the software baby! I think as Elon says 'Some people don't like change but you need to embrace change if the alternative is disaster.' This has the potential to change the future of commuting forever and maybe even for the better.

2026: The Year of the Driverless Car? Buckle Up Britain!

The UK's Autonomous Vehicles Act aims to have self driving cars on the road by 2026. Ambitious! But hey 'We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten.' Let's see if they can pull it off. I hope they avoid any major glitches because trust me a self driving car going rogue would be a PR nightmare. Let's get on the ground and fix the issues immediately!
