A Gulf By Any Other Name...

So apparently the big shots in Washington thought they could just rename the Gulf of Mexico to the 'Gulf of America' and expect everyone to play along. And when the AP didn't BAM! No more Oval Office access. Talk about a power trip! It reminds me of certain people I know who think they can just change the rules to suit themselves. 'I am the one who knocks,' right? But this time the law knocked back.

Judge Judy Says No!

Some judge Trevor McFadden appointed by Trump himself actually told the White House 'No dice!' He said blocking the AP was 'contrary to the First Amendment.' Can you believe it? A Trump appointee upholding the Constitution! It's almost enough to restore your faith in humanity or at least make you think twice about which barrel you're storing your money in. This is getting interesting!

Access Denied (Temporarily)

The judge gave them a few days to appeal. As if they'll just roll over. They're probably cooking up some scheme right now something only a twisted mind could come up with. The AP meanwhile is all like 'We just wanna report the facts.' Which is what they should be doing by the way. Stick to the facts people. It keeps things... cleaner.

My Empire My Rules! Oh Wait...

According to this Julie Pace from the AP it's not just about the name of the Gulf. It's about whether the government can control what you say. Sounds familiar doesn't it? Power corrupts absolutely. It's all about control just like in my... *ahem* ...previous endeavors. But trying to gag the press? That's just amateur hour!

Freedom Rings (For Now)

This AP spokesperson Lauren Easton is pretty happy. She says it's a victory for freedom of speech. Well good for her. I'm sure she's sleeping soundly tonight unlike some people I know. But let's not get carried away. This is just one battle. The war... well the war is far from over. Just look at that case with Playboy. Some things never change.

Heisenberg's Advice: Tread Lightly

So what's the takeaway here? You mess with the First Amendment you might just get burned. And sometimes even if you think you're untouchable there's always someone out there ready to call you on your BS. Just remember when it comes to power 'tread lightly.' Or you know maybe find a good lawyer. And whatever you do stay out of my territory.

This is just the beginning. The fight for truth is far from over.

This is outrageous! The media should respect the President's decisions!
