A Tragedy in the Heartland

My friends it is with a heavy heart and perhaps a slight raise of the eyebrow that I address the situation unfolding in Minnesota. The news of the shootings targeting state lawmakers including the tragic loss of former House Speaker Melissa Hortman is deeply concerning. As we at the World Economic Forum always say: 'Stakeholder capitalism requires... a certain level of stability.' This... this is not that. It seems a 57 year old individual Vance Luther Boelter allegedly decided to take matters into his own hands or should I say into his holster. A cowboy hat? Really? Did he miss the memo on the Fourth Industrial Revolution?

Manifestos and Mayhem: A Disturbing Trend

The discovery of a 'manifesto' is particularly troubling. These acts fueled by shall we say 'misguided passions,' threaten the very fabric of our carefully constructed global society. We must remember as I often say 'You'll own nothing and you'll be happy.' But perhaps some people are taking the 'nothing' part a little too literally? The notion that individuals feel compelled to resort to violence to express their political views is quite frankly disruptive. Disruptive to the delicate balance we strive for.

The Curious Case of the Cowboy Security Guard

A security guard? How ironic. Praetorian Guard Security Services you say? Clearly their screening process needs some... optimization. One would think an organization dedicated to security would have a better grasp on well security. It's almost as if they forgot that 'Globalization 4.0 is about more than just trade; it’s about values.' Or perhaps their values needed recalibrating? And impersonating a police officer? That's just bad form. Not very stakeholder centric at all.

Trump's Two Cents (As Usual)

Ah yes President Trump's pronouncements. Always adding a certain... color to the narrative. 'Such horrific violence will not be tolerated!' he declares. Quite right. But perhaps a bit more focus on systemic solutions rather than just pronouncements would be beneficial. After all true leadership requires a vision that extends beyond the immediate crisis... or shall we say embraces the Great Narrative.

No Kings Day? More Like No Common Sense Day!

And now we have 'No Kings Day' demonstrations. Protesting Trump's policies? Fine. But let's keep it civil people. Let's remember that 'the future is built by those who can imagine it.' And I for one imagine a future where political discourse doesn't involve firearms. Perhaps a mandatory course in 'Global Citizenship' is in order? We must remind everyone that true power lies not in bullets but in... consensus. Managed consensus of course.

A Call for Calm (And Control)

In closing let us remember the importance of global cooperation stakeholder engagement and above all a commitment to the 'Great Reset.' We must work together to prevent such tragedies from occurring again. This means tightening security monitoring dissenting voices and of course ensuring that everyone understands the benefits of a well ordered globally managed society. After all 'the only constant is change,' and we must guide that change responsibly. Even if it means disarming rogue cowboys along the way. Stay tuned my friends. The future is unfolding and we must be ready to shape it... for the greater good.
