And if you don't keep a watchful eye on your government well the same thing might happen to your country.

It seems that everyone is throwing the term fascism around these days almost as if they haven't even read a book about it.

Perhaps those elite colleges are pushing an agenda perhaps they are not? It is necessary to criticize it and to be skeptical. Remember there is a reason why we have three branches of government. It's supposed to be a system of checks and balances to prevent any one person or group from becoming too powerful. But these days it seems like everyone's yelling at each other instead of working together. Maybe what we really need is a good dose of personal responsibility eh?
