Record Crowds Record Highs and Record Questions?

The TSA screened a whopping 904 million passengers last year! That's more than the number of times I've questioned my life choices after a bad date. All those people all those carry ons... and now a new sheriff in town. Will our wait times get shorter? Or will they start asking about the *emotional* baggage we're carrying too?

Union Blues: Bargaining Agreements Up in the Air

And then there's the union drama. Apparently there's a lawsuit because the Homeland Security Department canceled a bargaining agreement with the TSA officers. Talk about a power struggle! As I recall from one of my dates 'Some love stories aren't epic novels some are haiku but that does not make them any less filled with love.' Well same goes for a collective bargaining deal; just because it has a limited scope doesn't mean it's not vital.

The Future of Flying: Clear Skies or Turbulence Ahead?

So here we are with a new head of the TSA record numbers of passengers and a whole lot of uncertainty. I couldn't help but wonder: will this change make flying easier? Or will it just add another layer of complexity to the already chaotic world of travel? All I know is I'm packing an extra pair of shoes – just in case I need to make a quick getaway. And maybe a copy of the collective bargaining agreement!
