Alright folks Captain America here. I gotta say things are getting a little… *complicated* in the financial world. Seems like President Trump shared a video online that suggested he's playing some kind of… well the kids these days would call it '4D chess' with the stock market. Crashing it on purpose? Now I've seen a lot in my time – Red Skull Ultron Thanos… but this might just take the cake. I always thought a strong economy was as important as a strong shield.

Hassett's Hail Mary Pass?

Kevin Hassett bless his heart came out swinging trying to reassure everyone that Trump isn't *actually* trying to tank the market. He says the President is just trying to "deliver for American workers." Now I'm all for helping the working man but deliberately crashing the economy? That's like using the Hulk to swat a fly – a little excessive wouldn't you say?

Tariffs: The Infinity Gauntlet of Trade?

The tariffs? Those bad boys are causing quite a stir. Apparently they're leading to fears of a global trade war and a recession. Now I'm no Tony Stark but even I know that a trade war isn't going to end well. Remember what happened when the Avengers started fighting amongst themselves in *Captain America: Civil War*? Yeah not a good look.

Market Mayhem: Bigger Than the Battle of New York?

And the numbers? Woof. The Dow Jones took a nosedive the S&P 500 followed suit and the Nasdaq got mauled. I've seen less carnage in a fight with the Chitauri! Seems like everyone is running for the hills faster than I can run a mile (which let's be honest is pretty darn fast). If the stock market is crashing I do not see how people will be able to afford vibranium or adamantium. What about my shield?

What Would Peggy Do?

I can only imagine what Peggy would say about all this. Probably something along the lines of "Rogers get out there and do something!" Okay Peggy message received. But seriously folks panicking won't help. Take a deep breath assess the situation and remember what Nick Fury always says: 'There was an idea... to bring together a group of remarkable people... to see if we could become something more...' Maybe we need a little 'economic Avengers' right now.
