A Holiday Tradition? More Like a Heisenberg Headache!

Well well well look what we have here. Another year another round of so called 'industry experts' making predictions like they're Heisenberg himself knowing exactly what's gonna cook. Except let's be honest last year's forecasts were about as accurate as Jesse Pinkman following a simple instruction. Remember that streaming bundle everyone was yapping about? Max and Disney kinda held hands but it wasn't the full monty was it? Still gotta give 'em credit for a few half measures. Like when I tried to go legit with that car wash. Half measures indeed.

Comcast: The Empire Strikes Back (Again)!

Now these geniuses are saying Comcast is gonna gobble up Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and streaming assets then blend it with NBCUniversal. Seems they are trying again after they were not successful with Time Warner Cable acquisition. Second time's the charm they say? Is that so? Maybe they should stick to cable and leave the cooking to those who know what they're doing. And another prediction is that they will acquire Charter and spin off the rest of NBCUniversal. Seems like everyone wants a piece of the pie but only one of them can be the one who knocks right?

Fox: The Phoenix Rises From the Ashes?

And then we have Fox rising from the ashes like a meth lab after a DEA raid. They're supposedly gonna snatch up most of Warner Bros. Discovery's assets. HBO the movie studio the whole shebang. After selling off most of its entertainment assets in 2019? Talk about a reversal of fortune. It's like me trying to quit the business after making millions. You think they can resist the urge to 'cook' again?

Disney Drama: A CEO Soap Opera!

Ah Disney. Always with the corporate drama. Apparently Dana Walden might be out if she doesn't get the CEO gig. The board's taking its sweet time probably still scarred from the Iger to Chapek fiasco. Another executive is suggesting NBCUniversal Entertainment and Studios chairman Donna Langley will be considered for the job as a challenge to Walden and other internal candidates. Sounds like a power struggle worthy of a Shakespearean tragedy. Or you know a particularly intense episode of 'Breaking Bad'.

Bezos vs. Trump: A Clash of Titans (and Newspapers)!

Now this is getting interesting. Word on the street is that Jeff Bezos might be 'bullied' into selling The Washington Post because Trump will make it clear his space company Blue Origin will suffer for his paper's coverage. A man provides for his family even if that family is a newspaper. Maybe Bezos should just stick to rockets and leave the journalism to the professionals. Or you know find a way to 'persuade' Trump to back off. I know a guy who knows a guy...

The Grim Reaper Cometh for TV Stations!

Several TV station groups are predicted to sell out of financial hardship with a new Trump administration potentially easing consolidation. Seems like folks are losing their shirts all thanks to this cord cutting business. They are hopeful that a new Trump administration will clear the way for more consolidation. Desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose. They might need to call Saul Goodman for some creative solutions. Speaking of which Paramount+ Peacock and Max could get bundled together. What if there was a bundle that featured all three services? What a way to create a mega conglomerate!
