Blackstone's Jonathan Gray says AI demand remains strong, even with trade tensions and electricity concerns. This is my domain.

Tread Lightly: The Tariff Man Cometh

So they're talking about Trump's tariffs again huh? Seems like everyone's trying to muscle in on my territory even after I'm supposed to be 'retired.' This Jonathan Gray from Blackstone he thinks the AI thing's still got legs even with those tariffs gumming up the works. 'I think this trend is powerful. I think it will continue,' he says. Like I used to say 'Stay out of my territory,' especially when it comes to making money. This whole situation is like trying to run a lab with Jesse Pinkman around – always some kind of external interference.

Reciprocal Tariffs? Sounds Like a Cook Off

Apparently these 'Big Tech' stocks took a hit after Trump announced some 'reciprocal' tariffs whatever that means. Sounds like a cook off challenge to me. But they bounced back thanks to Meta and Microsoft. Renewed confidence they say. Confidence is good but you also need the right formula. It's like making meth – you can't just throw anything in the pot and hope for the best. You need precision. You need a 'respect for the chemistry.'

The Staggering Truth? AI is Here to Stay

Gray thinks we're still in the early days of AI 'in the early days' he says. Well duh. But he sees 'significant increases' coming. Even Zuckerberg is impressed. 'What's happening in AI is staggering,' he apparently said. Staggering huh? That's how my empire was growing. One little cook at a time. Now all these big shots are trying to get a piece of the action. Just remember I did it first.

Electricity: The New Blue Gold?

So all this AI needs power. Lots of it. And Gray's worried about electricity. 'It's a global issue. I mean everywhere there are constraints,' he says. It's like trying to find enough pseudoephedrine back in the day. You gotta hustle find the right sources and sometimes maybe bend the rules a little. 'I am not in the meth business. I am in the empire business.' And empires need power both literally and figuratively.

Government Recognition: The DEA of Tech?

Gray thinks the government recognizes the importance of this and will invest. Which sounds to me like finally someone's seeing the potential. But the government being involved always brings the DEA to mind doesn't it? Let's hope they don't try to regulate AI like they regulated my... uh... 'product.'

Commercial Real Estate: My Old Stomping Grounds

He's also optimistic about commercial real estate. A pullback in new starts he says is setting the stage for a recovery. Ah real estate. Just like my old lab! You gotta have a location right? A place to cook up something big. Just don't let it get too messy or you'll attract unwanted attention. 'I won.'

Sounds like someone needs to apply some pressure.
