The Heisenberg of Hiring!

So I saw this article right? About how people are using AI to get jobs. 'Gen AI has blurred the line between what it is to be human and what it means to be machine,' some suit from Pindrop Security says. Sounds familiar doesn't it? Like blurring the lines between a mild mannered chemistry teacher and…well you know. These days it's not enough to just cook up the purest product; you gotta fake your whole identity! Heisenberg would be proud I think. Or maybe just annoyed that someone else is muscling in on his territory. This 'Ivan X' character using deepfake software to get a job. Bold move Ivan. Bold move. But 'tread lightly' pal.

A Chemical Imbalance in Talent Acquisition

Apparently by 2028 one in four job candidates will be fake. One in four! That's like saying one in four batches of my… product… was blue sky. Unacceptable! These impostors are installing malware stealing data all the fun stuff. Balasubramaniyan calls it a risk. I call it an opportunity! Just imagine the possibilities with that kind of access. 'I am the one who hires!' …or something like that. I wonder if they can cook too huh? Nah... maybe not.

Remote Work: The New Mexico of the Job Market

Cybersecurity and cryptocurrency firms are getting hit hard because of remote roles. 'Humans are generally the weak link in cybersecurity,' some CEO from BrightHire says. Well duh! Humans are the weak link in everything! That's why you need a guy like me to step in and you know 'handle' things. Remote work is like New Mexico full of space and opportunity. And just like New Mexico it attracts some real shady characters.

North Korean Spies: The Crystal Blue Persuasion of Espionage

Turns out North Korean spies are getting in on the action too. 'Every time we list a job posting we get 100 North Korean spies applying to it,' says some lady from CAT Labs. They're using stolen American identities to fund their weapons program! Talk about resourceful. And their resumes look amazing! All the keywords huh? Impressive. I guess even dictators need good IT support.

The Empire Business: Expanding Beyond Blue Sky

The fake employee industry is growing faster than my empire ever did (almost). Now you have criminals from Russia China Malaysia South Korea involved. Roger Grimes that's the name I think this guy is a computer security consultant that the article mentions... Says some of these fraudulent workers are top performers! 'Sometimes they perform it so well that I've actually had a few people tell me they were sorry they had to let them go,' he says. Well that's just bad management! You gotta know your product. You gotta know your people. And you definitely gotta know who's using a deepfake!

No More Half Measures: Authenticating the Truth

So what's the solution? Pindrop the company that caught 'Ivan X,' is pivoting to video authentication. They caught him because his IP address was in Russia not Ukraine. Smart move. 'We are no longer able to trust our eyes and ears,' some dude from Pindrop says. 'Without technology you're worse off than a monkey with a random coin toss.' I couldn't have said it better myself. Except maybe with a little more… Heisenberg flair. 'Stay out of my territory' AI. You aren't authorized to create an Empire Business capiche?
