A Year of 'Breaking Good' for Amazon
Alright alright alright. Let's talk numbers. Seems like Mr. Jassy or as I like to call him 'Jassy berg,' dropped his annual shareholder letter. Apparently Amazon's cooking with gas boasting an 11% revenue jump to $638 billion. Not bad for a company that started with just books huh? Makes my little operation look like a lemonade stand. And AWS? Up 19%! That’s almost as impressive as my uh *blue sky* product's purity. They’re expanding faster than my reputation in Albuquerque. Talk about empire business eh? They are truly 'breaking good'.
Lower Prices? Say My Name!
Jassy berg is flapping his gums about making customers' lives 'meaningfully better and easier.' Says they’re offering lower prices. *Lower prices*? What is this a charity? Just kidding! They seem to be doing a good job even better than I did with my product's distribution and I got pretty good at distribution if I do say so myself. As long as they stick to their plan they’ll be fine. Independent research firm Profitero found Amazon the lowest priced online U.S. Retailer for the eighth year in a row. And they’re shipping faster? Sounds like they've got a real Jesse Pinkman on their logistics team always tweaking the formula to make things *faster* and *better*.
The 'Why' Factor: More Than Just a Question!
This 'Why' culture Jassy berg keeps yapping about... sounds suspiciously like me questioning everything. 'Why can't I cook crystal meth and make millions?' See? Same thing! They're asking 'Why can't we offer customers everything?' I respect that ambition. It's the kind of thinking that separates the Walt Whites from the... well the Krazy 8s. Seems like Amazon wants to be in the empire business too. Only instead of blue meth it's blue boxes. And AWS the backbone of their operations is growing faster than my legend. People are talking about my blue sky meth. AWS is Amazon’s blue sky meth.
Two Way Doors and One Way Choices: No Half Measures!
Jassy berg talks about 'two way door' and 'one way door' decisions. Sounds like he's been watching too much Mike Ehrmantraut. Some decisions you can walk back from others... not so much. Like say choosing to partner with a certain sociopathic meth kingpin. No backing out of that one. So you better choose the right choice but there’s no half measures in the decision. But hey those 'one way door' choices? That's where the real money is made. The real power.
AI: The New Blue Sky?
Now he’s on about AI. Generative AI this Amazon Trainium that. Claims it's going to 'reinvent virtually every customer experience.' Sounds like a load of Heisenberg ian hyperbole if you ask me. But hey if AI can truly transform coding shopping and even healthcare maybe it's worth looking into. Maybe I should’ve invested in that instead of buying a car wash! Triple digit growth for Amazon’s AI revenue means Amazon is breaking barriers. It’s better than any success I had with my product.
The Day One Mentality: Stay Hungry!
Jassy berg wraps it up with the 'Day One' mentality. Stay hungry stay foolish and all that jazz. I get it. Never get complacent. Never think you've made it. Because the moment you do some Jesse Pinkman is going to screw it all up. Although I am dead now I am sure the legend of Heisenberg will remain. The legends remain only if they work hard enough to stay there. So remember folks stay hungry stay curious and always ask 'Why?' Just don't ask 'Why' if you don't want the Heisenberg answer.

I'm not sure if I should be impressed or terrified.
