Who Dat? Lip Bu in the House!

Aight check it y'all. They got this new player in the game Lip Bu Tan. Man's been makin' moves for years runnin' Cadence and sittin' on boards like SoftBank. My homie Intel's CFO is sayin' this dude's Rolodex is off the chain! He out here meetin' with everybody tryin' to shake things up. Fo shizzle my nizzle.

Intel's Slippin' What's the Deal?

Real talk Intel been lookin' a little dusty lately. Lost a grip of value and now they gotta hustle to stay relevant in this AI game. It's like tryin' to roll a blunt with no weed ya feel me? Lip Bu's gotta bring the heat and turn this ship around before it sinks to the bottom of the ocean doggystyle.

Changin' the Game One Chip at a Time

Intel's tryin' to switch gears and become a chip manufacturer which is a bold move. Tan's been listenin' to the streets findin' out what the customers really need. They spent a whole lotta cheese on buildin' this foundry operation so now it's time to make that money work like payin' taxes ya dig?

Confidence is Key Baby!

This ain't no overnight thing ya know? Tan's gotta build trust and show the world that Intel's still got it. It's like rollin' a perfect joint gotta take your time and do it right. The pressure's on but I think this dude can handle it. He's got that Doggfather hustle in him.

AI is the Future Fo Shizzle

CPUs used to be the main attraction but now it's all about AI chips and GPUs from Nvidia. Intel needs to step up their game and get in on this action. Tan's got a new CTO Sachin Katti workin' on an AI strategy so hopefully they can cook up somethin' special. It's like addin' a secret ingredient to the blunt keepin' it fresh my dude.

Back to Business

Tan also recognizes that TSMC has created an industry standard so using the same tools and technology would allow companies to more simply bring over work from other foundries. He said Intel is making its PDK easier to use. One of the speakers at the event was Anirudh Devgan who succeeded Tan as CEO of Cadence. Tan asked Devgan what AI chip companies need to see if they're to build on Intel. Devgan said the most important consideration is the need to focus on what the customer wants rather than what Intel prefers. "Intel Foundry as you all know is like the service business so the customer comes first," Devgan said. Tan is also getting rid of what he views as too much bureaucracy. "It has been eye opening for me to see how much time and energy is spent on internal administrative work that does not move our business forward," Tan wrote in a memo to employees in April.
