¡Qué Golazo! A Furniture Comeback?
Hola everyone! Leo Messi here stepping off the pitch and onto... the furniture market? Apparently RH that fancy furniture place saw their shares jump more than 15%! Not quite the Champions League final but hey a win is a win right? They're saying they'll grow revenue by 10 13%. That's almost as impressive as my dribbling skills... almost.
Earnings: A Little 'Hand of God' Magic?
So they made 13 cents per share adjusted. Wall Street thought they'd lose money! It's like when I score a last minute goal – unexpected but beautiful. They even made a profit this quarter after losing money last year. Maybe they found a lucky chair or something? Reminds me of when Maradona scored that goal with his hand some say it was divine but that's not the point the point is always fight for the goal like RH is doing now!
Tariff Tango: Dodging Economic Defenders
But here's the real challenge: tariffs! It's like trying to get past five defenders at once. Their CEO Gary Friedman says the housing market is tough. It's like trying to score on a rainy day in Stoke! They're moving production out of China which is smart. Less Chinese goods coming in means that by the end of the year only 2% of goods will be Chinese in origin. Seems they're playing a tactical game just like I do on the field dodging those trade defenders.
Made in the USA (and Italy!): A Change of Scenery
Friedman says over half of their comfy furniture will be made in the USA and a good chunk in Italy. It seems like they are bringing production 'home'. Maybe they'll start serving mate at their stores! Maybe not but either way it's a good call. Always good to have a home field advantage.
Paris mon Amour: Champs Élysées Dreams
Now this is where it gets interesting. They're opening a store in Paris! On the Champs Élysées no less! That's like playing a final in your opponent's stadium. Talk about pressure! But hey I've played in some tough stadiums and a little Parisian chic never hurt anyone. As they say 'La Pulga' is going international...again!
The Long Game: Patience is Key
They're delaying some new project until 2026. That’s like waiting for the perfect pass. Sometimes you gotta be patient. It sounds like they’re playing the long game. But it is hard waiting I am not a big fan. 'The ball is always round' so we must adapt.
