Holy Crap Lois Arm Makes a Chip

Alright so here's the deal folks I Peter Griffin the world's foremost expert on everything except maybe tying my own shoes am here to tell you about Arm. No not like the thing I use to hoist a pint of Pawtucket Patriot Ale to my face. We're talking about this fancy chip company. Apparently they made a chip. A real one. Like the kind you find in computers not the kind you dip in salsa. It's called the AGI CPU and it's supposed to be the bee's knees for AI stuff. Remember that time I tried to build my own robot butler? Well if I had this chip maybe he wouldn't have tried to sell my pants on eBay.

Fifteen Billion Dollars Seriously

So they are saying this chip is going to bring in fifteen BILLION dollars by 2031. Fifteen billion clams. That's like a lot of beer money. I could buy so many Quahog style pizzas. And maybe a new TV. The old one keeps showing that creepy Ernie the Giant Chicken. Anyway that's a lot more money than they made before. They are also saying that it’s going to shake things up which reminds me of the time I tried to make my own earthquake machine. That didn't end well but hopefully this chip thing works out better for them. You know like when Xiaomi Dethrones Tesla in China's EV Arena the unexpected happens and everyone's surprised. If they pull this off it will be legen... wait for it... dary

Arm vs The Big Boys A Real Knockout

Now here’s the kicker. Arm used to just let other companies use their designs. Like they’d rent out their blueprints or something. But now they're building their own chips. That means they're going head to head with companies like Amazon Microsoft and even Nvidia. It is like when I tried to compete with the Clam by selling my own homemade beer. It was called "Pawtucket Patriot Brain Blaster" and it mostly just gave people headaches. Hopefully Arm's chip is a bit more successful than my beer venture was.

Meta and OpenAI Are in on This What The Deuce

So Meta you know Facebook's new name because Zuckerberg thought it sounded cool and OpenAI the people who made that robot thingy are also in on this. Meta wants to build a bunch of data centers and they are spending a ton of money doing it. OpenAI is always looking for better ways to make robots I guess. Apparently these big companies are helping Arm make this chip a success. It is like when the Drunken Clam was on the verge of closing but then everyone decided to pitch in to save the bar.

A Trillion Dollar Market Giggity

The head of AI at Arm said it's a "trillion dollar market". A TRILLION. Dollars. That's enough to buy a lifetime supply of chicken fights and maybe even get Meg a date. Arm thinks that if everyone gets in on this AI chip game then it is great for everyone. Like when everyone wins the lottery. I mean sure I have never won but hey a guy can dream right?

Profits and More Profits What Could Go Wrong

They are selling this chip for a profit of about 50%. Which is good right? Means they are making money. And they are saying that it’s competitively priced so companies that don't want to make their own chips can just buy this one. It’s like me offering to do the dishes for money. Except I usually end up breaking something. Hopefully Arm won't break anything and will make a ton of money. This is a big deal for Arm for the chip industry and for my potential beer budget.
