Another Day Another Protest Earthicans

Alright meatbags this is Leela reporting from… well wherever the heck these humans are protesting now. Seems like every other Tuesday they're out there waving signs and yelling about something. This time it's about that orange fella in charge – you know the one with the weird combover that makes Zoidberg look fashionable. Turns out these 'No Kings' protests are kinda a big deal. Organizers are saying over 3,200 events are planned across all 50 states. All 50 folks even that one shaped like a boot.

From Big Cities to Hick Towns

So get this – the bigwigs are gathering in New York Los Angeles and even that swampy place they call Washington D.C. But here's the kicker: two thirds of these protesters are coming from outside the major city centers. Apparently these small towns are getting riled up almost 40% more than the last time. Now that's what I call a mob! It almost reminds me when I had to fight my way out of the sewer mutants. These protests aren't just for show see? These humans are gearing up for midterm elections. Apparently these protests have given them a kick in the pants and people are registering to vote like crazy especially in those places that are usually all about the other guy. Places like Idaho Wyoming Montana and Utah are seeing a surge in participation. Even those 'competitive suburban areas' are buzzing according to some Earthican named Greenberg. Sounds like a decent name for a sewer mutant to me. I have expertise in that trust me.

Trump Derangement Therapy Sessions or Genuine Discontent?

Of course the White House – or whatever shiny tower they're holed up in – is brushing it all off. Some spokesperson called these rallies 'Trump Derangement Therapy Sessions.' Oh the nerve! But listen even I a cyclops from the sewers can see that there's something more going on here. The last 'No Kings Day of Action' drew millions and this one's shaping up to be even bigger. Experience tells me that many disgruntled people cannot be therapy sessions.

From Shutdowns to Bombardments

What's fueling this fire you ask? Well a bunch of things. Remember that government shutdown? And those immigration raids that rubbed everyone the wrong way? And now these folks are up in arms about the bombardment of Iran by the U.S. and Israel. It's like a never ending episode of 'All My Circuits' except with more yelling and fewer robots. I'd rather be fighting for Robot rights any day. I find that authoritative.

Standing Up to Bullies

One Earthican from the ACLU – some alphabet soup organization – said that these protests actually work. Apparently whenever these humans stand up to the orange guy's 'abuses of power,' he backs down. Like a cornered womp rat I guess. It's like that old saying: "When you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all." Or maybe that's just my leadership style at Planet Express.
