Another One Bites the Dust Suspect Detained
Well well well what do we have here A suspect in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping is in custody. Looks like someone's gonna have a bad time. The Pima County Sheriff's Department nabbed a character during a traffic stop south of Tucson and now they're sweating under the interrogation lamp. I'd love to see that. "Bite my shiny metal you know what" is probably what the cops should be saying.
Caught on Camera Masked Man Shenanigans
Speaking of sweating check out this video. An armed dude in a ski mask messing with Nancy Guthrie's doorbell camera shortly before she went missing. Apparently this footage came from discarded video data. It's like finding a crumpled twenty in your pants pocket SCORE The FBI and sheriff's office released video footage captured outside Nancy Guthrie's front door by a Google Nest camera and recovered from discarded data found in a back end digital repository. The images videos and still photos show a man wearing a woolen ski mask gloves a backpack and a gun in a holster. He approaches Nancy Guthrie's front door in the early hours of February 1 about the time she was abducted. At one point in the video the masked figure is seen trying to obscure the camera with foliage gathered from nearby then appears to damage the camera. The individual's head is down as he approaches the door suggesting an awareness of the camera's location according to a law enforcement source. Facial hair is visible through the ski mask cut out around the man's mouth. Sheriff Chris Nanos has said the camera was disabled shortly before 2 a.m. local time on February 1 that Guthrie's pacemaker became disconnected from her phone about a half hour later and that she was presumably taken from the house by force. You know sometimes you gotta deal with navigational alerts on the high seas and sometimes it's armed masked fools on the front porch never a dull day on this planet.
A Raid in Rio Rico The Plot Thickens
The plot thickens like week old gravy. The sheriff's department and an FBI forensic team raided a "location" in Rio Rico Arizona. Some woman claiming to be the suspect's mother in law says they searched her house based on a "tip that the lady was in my house." Honestly that sounds like an episode of 'All My Circuits'. She said her son in law who works as a delivery man had nothing to do with Guthrie's disappearance that "there's nobody in my house," and that she had "nothing to hide."
Blood and Pacemakers Signs of a Struggle
Traces of blood found on the front porch confirmed to be Guthrie's. And her pacemaker became disconnected from her phone around the same time she disappeared. Sounds like a struggle. This whole thing is messier than my last bachelor party. You know those things are designed to keep old people going so disconnecting it is a real low blow.
From White House to Social Media High Profile Attention
Even the White House is paying attention. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Trump reviewed the images and encourages anyone with info to call the FBI. And Savannah Guthrie and her siblings are all over social media pleading for help and offering a ransom. Humans are so predictable yet so entertaining in their melodrama. If only they'd offer me a few million I'd be happy to 'find' their mother then go on a bender with the cash.
The Waiting Game Hope and Desperation
Savannah Guthrie posted the new images on Instagram saying "We believe she is still alive. Bring her home." The waiting game is always the hardest. But hey at least it gives me something to watch while I polish my shiny metal... frame. I feel like I could do this all night but I have more important things to do... like drink.
