Bender's Take on the News: Another Fine Mess
Alright meatbags Bender here reporting live from the bowels of the internet. So the Supreme Court those robed geezers sided with some toy company against that orange faced guy with the weird hair. Apparently he was charging extra for toys and now he has to give the money back. Sounds like someone's been bending the rules more than yours truly bends girders. This is gonna be good. I love watching humans squirm especially when money is involved. Remember folks "Bite my shiny metal ass".
Learning Resources CEO Gets Vindicated
This Rick Woldenberg character the big cheese at Learning Resources is strutting around like he just won the Robot Olympics. He claims he felt "validated and vindicated" after the Supreme Court gave him the thumbs up. Seems like he really didn't like paying those tariffs calling them an "unlawful tax". He's all excited about the "endorsement of rule of law being applied equally". Oh the drama. It seems like this could relate to Waymo's Robotaxi Revolution Rolls Onward as both involve navigating complex legal and economic landscapes.
Money Money Money: A Refund Bonanza
So get this. The government now has to cough up over $175 billion in refunds. That's a lot of shiny metal! Woldenberg seems to think this is no big deal saying they're "pretty good at taking the money from us. I think they just got to reverse the gears and send it back." Easy for him to say he's getting the dough. I on the other hand am still waiting for my unemployment check from that robot uprising. The hypocrisy is astounding. "I'm gonna build my own theme park with blackjack and hookers. In fact forget the theme park".
Economic Stimulus or Just Hot Air?
Woldenberg is now predicting that these tariff refunds will act like a "stimulus bill". He thinks it'll "accelerate growth" without any pesky congressional involvement. Sounds like he's trying to butter up the politicians doesn't he? I for one think it'll just end up lining the pockets of the already rich. But hey maybe I'll get a small cut. I'll take what I can get. “Everything’s coming up Bender!”
Standing on the Right Side of History (Allegedly)
This whole thing is just another reminder that humans love to make a big fuss about money. Woldenberg claims he's "excited to stand on the right side of history here." Please spare me the melodrama. It's all about the Benjamins baby. And for me it is all about shiny metal and a good brew. And revenge. Don't forget the revenge. “I’m going to get my own planet… with blackjack and hookers!”
Bender's Final Verdict: Meh
Look I'm not saying this whole tariff thing isn't important but let's be honest it's just a bunch of humans arguing about money. Wake me up when they invent a robot that can make free beer. Until then I'm going back to my nap. Remember "I'm back baby"... and still slightly underwhelmed. Now where's my beer?
