Trump reportedly wanted them charged but the cases got tossed out by a judge. Apparently something about 'invalidly appointed' prosecutors. Not a great look for the DOJ if you ask me. It's like trying to build a sandcastle with no sand. Just doesn't work does it?

So who's stepping in? For now it's Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Trump called him a "very talented and respected Legal Mind" on social media. But the search is on for a permanent replacement and the name Lee Zeldin is being tossed around. We'll see what happens folks. This is politics after all.
