“The economy is roaring like never before.” That’s what he's saying. But I’ve seen roars before and they usually come from something about to eat you. This “defeat of inflation” he’s touting…the numbers look better sure but I’ll believe it when I see it. Politicians and their promises…about as reliable as a synthetic with a hidden agenda. Still a little good news never hurt anyone right? Just don’t go betting the farm on it. Remember in space no one can hear you scream but on Earth you can hear the economy crash.

Democrats: Resistance or Just Posturing?

So the Democrats are giving him some pushback but nothing too explosive huh? Sounds about right. Politics…it’s a game and everyone’s just trying to survive. Trump goading them about protecting American citizens versus "illegal aliens"…classic. Stirring the pot just like Ash trying to sneak a xenomorph embryo past quarantine. Rep. Al Green getting ejected for his sign…well sometimes you gotta make a statement even if it gets you thrown out. It is really good that people stand up for what they believe in and fight for it.

Sticking to domestic policy huh? Smart move. Foreign policy is a minefield. He did touch on Iran though and that’s always a powder keg. 'We will never have a nuclear weapon,' he wants to hear them say. Good luck with that. Diplomacy is nice but you can’t trust everyone. Some things you just gotta nuke from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Moms and Dads: The Real Concern

Senator Kennedy says Trump talked about what “moms and dads worry about when they lie down at night.” Well that’s the key isn’t it? People just want to feel safe and secure. Whether it’s from xenomorphs or economic collapse the fear is the same. And right now there's a lot of fear in the world. The only way to combat that is to provide solutions whether those solutions work we shall see. Just be careful what you believe.
