Alright listen up you simpletons. This SAVE America Act or whatever Trump's calling it now is supposed to be all about making sure only citizens vote. Seems legit right? But hold on to your butts because it's messier than a Cromulon's diaper. We're talking about requiring proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote. You know because apparently our elections are as secure as a screen door on a spaceship. Spoiler alert they aren't.

So who's gonna feel the squeeze? Turns out millions of Americans don't have readily available proof of citizenship. And about 2.6 million lack government issued photo IDs. That's a lot of Morty's statistically speaking. Low income folks minorities even married women who changed their names could face extra hurdles. Trump's been yapping about non citizen voting for ages claiming our elections are about as trustworthy as a fart in a spacesuit. He's even threatening to nationalize elections and ban mail in voting by executive order. He claims this SAVE America Act is the most IMPORTANT thing ever. Oh geez is it just me or is something fishy with this whole thing.

Turns out there have been attempts to pull this voter ID crap before. Back in '06 some guy named Hyde tried to push through a similar bill. Obama even spoke out against it back in '05. History repeats itself folks especially when it comes to politicians trying to rig the system.

Voting rights groups are pretty clear on this: voter fraud is rarer than a sober Rick. Trump claimed thousands of dead people voted in Georgia after he lost in 2020 but a report found squat.
