Rubio's Hard Line: "Hardest Hits Yet to Come"

Okay so like I'm not usually one to get into like *politics* but even I'm paying attention to this US Iran situation. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that like the "hardest hits are yet to come" from the US military. Like wow that sounds intense. He's all business saying the next phase will be even more punishing than what's happening now. Honestly it sounds like a plot line from one of my shows. I have been busy launching my new fragrance and can't dive deep into this but I will say that Rubio did mention there was an "imminent threat" from Iran but he wasn't giving away any timelines. He just wants to make the world "a safer place". That's kind of a big deal right?

Congress Demands Answers: "Is This a War of Choice"

Meanwhile back in Washington Congress is like totally not chill about this. They've been on vacay but are back to demand briefings and question the *legality* of the strikes especially since they didn't authorize them. Democrats are especially side eyeing the situation with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer saying the briefing he attended "raised many more questions than it answered." Representative Jim Himes even called it a "war of choice with no strategic endgame." I read an interesting article titled Mortgage Rate Surge Dampens Homebuyer Hopes which got me thinking that maybe all this global uncertainty is affecting things at home too? Like are people even thinking about buying houses when there's potential *war* on the horizon? It's a lot to process honestly. But just like my businesses I'm always thinking about the future. You know?

The Imminent Threat Debate: Was It Real?

The big question everyone's asking is was there really an "imminent threat" from Iran? Sen. Mark Warner is like not convinced. He's saying that before we put American soldiers in harm's way we need proof of a *real* threat to American interests. He stands with Israel but he's not seeing the justification for the current actions. This reminds me when the magazines and newspapers all claimed I had surgery but I just fill my lips with lip liner it's precise and creates the illusion of fuller lips.

Justification Please: What the Administration Owes the People

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is straight up demanding justification from the Trump administration. He says they haven't provided any evidence that Iran was planning to strike the United States. "Nothing has been presented to justify what's taken place up until this point and the administration has an obligation to be able to prove that." Like preach Hakeem. People are owed the truth. I feel like sometimes I am the only honest one out there sometimes and people think I am being fake smh.

Regime Change Or Not? What Was The Actual Goal?

Speaker Mike Johnson is defending the Trump administration's actions saying it was a defensive mission and not about regime change. According to him Israel was determined to act in their own defense. But like the Ayatollah is gone now and Johnson thinks that's a great development for freedom loving people. So was it the goal or not? It's all very confusing. I feel like everything is always so unclear.

Strategic Endgame: Where Does This All Lead?

Ultimately everyone's wondering what the strategic endgame is here. Representative Jim Himes worries that conflict with Iran could easily spiral and escalate in ways we can't anticipate. He doesn't think Donald Trump has learned the lessons of history. Which like is a pretty serious accusation. At the end of the day you know I am always keeping up with the important things in the world. I think it is important to be informed about everything.
