The Kids are Alright and They're Ready to Party
Alright. So I hear that the Indian live entertainment scene is hotter than Lois's... well never you mind. Apparently these young millennials are flush with cash and are throwing it at live events like they're Peter at a bar tab contest. Take Tanvi Shirgaonkar for example. She's counting down the days to see some Japanese artist. Sounds like a good time giggity. She is planning many concerts and events this year.
Disposable Income More Like 'Spendable' Income
According to some fancy report India's got a massive wave of working age folks coming in hot and their pockets are getting deeper. That's right more money to spend on concerts comedy shows and whatever else tickles their fancy. Speaking of fancy I wonder if any of these events need a... guest of honor? Hey a guy can dream. You know this kind of reminds me of the time I tried to start my own airline. Let's just say the in flight entertainment was... memorable. Coldplay Turns Up the Heat
So apparently some band called Coldplay rolled into India and it was a total game changer. I'm talking packed houses screaming fans the whole shebang. Someone is saying it proved that India could handle these big time global productions. They're getting all excited about digital platforms and fan bases and whatnot. It's like they've never seen a good party before. Speaking of turning points remember that time I tried to become a male model? Yeah that was a turning point... in my career as a pilot. Giggity.
Affluence is the New Foreplay
Now here's where things get interesting. According to these 'experts,' the reason for all this excitement is that people have more money. And once you're rolling in dough what do you do? You buy experiences. Of course you do. It's the same reason I keep buying those 'learn to play the guitar' courses. Gotta impress the ladies somehow. But it seems like premium experiences are in high demand.
From Big Cities to Small Towns the Party's Everywhere
It's not just the big cities getting in on the action. Even smaller towns are seeing a spike in live event attendance. People want to have fun no matter where they are. I mean look at Quahog. We might be a small town but we know how to throw a party. Just ask Bonnie. I'd argue that the global village has helped to ensure access to great entertainment in all locations now.
India's Aiming for the Top Giggity
So the Indian government's got this grand plan to make India one of the top live entertainment destinations by 2030. Sounds ambitious but hey if they can pull it off more power to them. Of course they're going to need bigger venues better security and all that jazz. But let's be honest all you really need is a good band some cold beer and maybe a certain pilot with a certain... charm. Infrastructure challenges are likely going to be addressed. I mean they need better facilities for the influx of people.
