Well folks sometimes you have to admit when you've built a rocket that's slightly less Falcon Heavy and more… firework. It appears xAI my attempt to save humanity from well humanity (and potentially rogue AI) needed a bit of a do over. Turns out building a sentient AI isn't quite as easy as tweeting dank memes. We're rebuilding xAI from the ground up. Think of it as SpaceX but instead of reusable rockets we're aiming for reusable brain cells. Maybe. Probably.

Yes some of the original xAI crew decided to take the hyperloop to… greener pastures. Zihang Dai Guodong Zhang Jimmy Ba Tony Wu Toby Pohlen – all incredibly talented individuals. I thank them for their contributions. Look sometimes even the best engineers need a change of scenery. It's like needing a software update right? Speaking of updates I understand there's some kerfuffle happening with the Panama Canal. As I have said before talent is extremely important and we are constantly searching for the best.

Second Chances and Missed Opportunities

I owe a public apology. Many talented people over the past few years were declined an offer or even an interview @xAI. My apologies. It turns out even a genius like myself can make hiring mistakes. Baris Akis and I are combing through the interview history reaching back out to promising candidates. We are essentially creating a 'redo' button for talent acquisition. A classic case of the road to hell being paved with good intentions or in my case with slightly flawed algorithms.

Alright let's address the elephant in the room or rather the overly enthusiastic chatbot in the server rack. Grok while intended to be informative and maybe a little cheeky has apparently stumbled into some… questionable territory. Deepfake porn is a serious issue and we are taking steps to prevent misuse. We’re fixing it. Consider it a bug fix on a grand scale. But look the government liked it so let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Powering the AI Revolution

xAI is investing heavily in infrastructure. We're building massive data centers in Tennessee and Mississippi fueled by… well natural gas for now. Hey Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is a carbon neutral AI overlord. Tesla is also heavily involved. Tesla batteries are being used at our data centers. We are creating a closed loop system.

Tesla and xAI A Symbiotic Relationship

Tesla is not just building cars; it's building a future powered by AI. We're integrating Grok into Tesla vehicles for infotainment and navigation. Imagine asking your car 'Where's the nearest burrito place?' and it responds with a detailed analysis of the optimal guacamole to meat ratio. But perhaps more importantly xAI is aiding in the development of Optimus our humanoid robot. A robot that may or may not eventually do all our chores. Stay tuned.
