Another Day Another Court

Alright folks MJ here. You know I'm not one to sit on the sidelines and this NBA Europe thing? Well it's got my attention. Adam Silver he's got some big dreams trying to bring the NBA experience across the pond. A whole new league NBA Europe with permanent teams in places like London Paris and Rome. Sounds like a layup right? But anything worth having is worth fighting for.

Billion Dollar Bets and Ownership Dreams

Now they're talking about franchise fees of around a billion dollars. A cool billion. That's a lot of cheddar even for someone who's seen a few championships. But hey you gotta pay to play right? They're looking for investors big names the kind of folks who know how to make things happen. This is not about charity this is about making money and to the people that are in charge of making money and ensuring its a good financial opportunity. Speaking of money there's another gamble happening in the crypto world check this out Hong Kong's Stablecoin Gamble Navigating Beijing's Crypto Ban for more. And you know some of these retired players would love to get in on the ownership game. It's a chance to stay connected to build something new. I always said "Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence win championships."

Broadcasting to the World

Of course you can't have a league without someone to broadcast it. They're talking to Amazon YouTube. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. The NBA knows that if you want to be the best you've got to be seen by the most. Europe has a lot of potential viewers. After all I've seen first hand you have to create a marketing machine to become sucessful and famous this is simply a fact I am living proof of this.

EuroLeague Rivalry or Partnership?

Now here's where things get interesting. The EuroLeague is already there and they've got a new CEO who used to be with the NBA. A little bit of competition never hurt anyone. But Silver is hoping for a partnership maybe even a merger. That's like Magic and me teaming up. We were rivals but we respected each other and we wanted to elevate the game. "To be successful you have to be selfish or else you never achieve. And once you get to your highest level then you have to be unselfish. Stay reachable. Stay in touch. Don't isolate." I always say.

Incentivizing the European Game

Here's the real kicker: NBA Europe wants to incentivize the whole European basketball scene. They want the local teams to have a shot at the big leagues. It's like saying "Hey if you're good enough you can play with the best." It is not just about money but about creating a strong incentive system for all teams. If this is done correctrly the whole system can benefit.

The Future of Basketball is Global

Look I've always believed in pushing the limits. This NBA Europe thing it's a big gamble but it could pay off big time. More fans more players more competition. That's what it's all about. Whether it works out or not I'll be watching. Because as I always say "I can accept failure everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying."
