The Valkyries' Verdict on Lucid's Losses

Hark it is I Ragnar Lothbrok returned to cast my weathered eye upon these… financial reports. Lucid Motors they call themselves. Makers of metal steeds powered by the very thunder of Thor yet their coffers weep like a shieldmaiden after a lost battle. They missed earnings like I miss the shores of England sometimes – by a wide margin. A loss of $3.62 per share is a wound deep enough to fell a berserker.

Revenue: A Glimmer of Asgard?

But fear not for there is a glimmer of hope. Revenue exceeding expectations like discovering a hidden treasure trove on a raid. $523 million they say. Enough to fill a longship with mead and still have coin left over for a decent seer. Yet even the gods know that revenue alone does not win wars. They must be wise in how they steer their ship forward like what we read on Trump's Iran Warning Echoes Through Valhalla.

Trimming the Sails: Layoffs and Efficiency

These modern Vikings speak of "streamlining operations" and "efficiency gains." What they truly mean is cutting heads much like I once did to secure my own kingdom. 12% of their U.S. workforce cast aside. A necessary evil perhaps to weather the storm. As I always say "Better to have fewer but better warriors."

Production Projections: A Viking's Promise?

Ah projections. Empty promises whispered by merchants and kings alike. Lucid aims for 25,000 to 27,000 units in 2026. A bold claim considering their own admissions of internal validation issues. It seems some of their metal horses weren't quite ready for the battlefield. But as Floki would say "We must believe it to make it so."

The Gravity SUV and Robotaxis: New Raiding Parties?

They speak of new steeds – a Gravity SUV and even… robotaxis. Automated chariots driven by the will of unseen spirits. Intriguing yet unsettling. Give me a trusty horse and a sharp axe any day. But perhaps these new inventions will lead them to richer lands. Only time and the whims of the gods will tell.

Path to Profitability: A Distant Shore?

Profitability… a word as elusive as Valhalla itself. Lucid cannot say when they will reach these shores. They speak of controlling spending but money has a way of slipping through even the tightest of fists. They ended the year with $4.6 billion which may seem like a fortune but in the world of modern kings it can vanish quicker than a jarl's patience. They continue to lose money yearly. Their path is not yet clear.
