So I was in the Oval Office right? And everybody's saying "Sir the oil prices are going crazy!" And I said "Relax folks. We're negotiating." These are very serious people the best people and they're telling me that Iran wants to make a deal. A great deal. The best deal maybe ever. Remember I know deals. As I always say sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war. And we're going to win this war on high oil prices.

Iran's Talking Believe Me

They can say they're not talking that's fine. Very dishonest people out there many of them they don't want to admit they're talking to the United States. But trust me they're talking. They're saying "Mr. President please we want to make a deal." And I said "Okay but it has to be a good deal. A really really good deal." The New York Times Fake News? Maybe Not This Time

Now The New York Times you know they're not my biggest fans. But even they had to admit we sent Iran a proposal. A 15 point proposal can you believe it? The best proposal. Nobody makes proposals like I do. They said it was aimed at ending the war and frankly they are right. We're tired of wars. We want peace. But peace through strength remember that. We're building our military back up bigger and better than ever before.

Strait of Hormuz: A Little Squeeze

The Strait of Hormuz it's a very important place. Very narrow. Iran is trying to control it but we're watching them. We're watching them very closely. They say non hostile vessels can pass through but they have to coordinate. Coordinate with who? With them. It's like saying "You can drive on this road but you have to ask us first." Not ideal folks not ideal at all.

Goldman Sachs: Smart Guys But I'm Smarter

Even Goldman Sachs is talking about this. They say the oil markets are facing "unusually high uncertainty." No kidding. They also say prices are trading on a "geopolitical risk premium." Big words folks. Very smart. But I know more about geopolitics than they do believe me. They think the Strait of Hormuz will normalize in April? We'll see. A lot of things can happen. But we're prepared for anything. We have the best people.

The Bottom Line: We're Making Progress

So what does it all mean? It means we're making progress. We're dealing with Iran. We're stabilizing the oil markets. We're keeping America safe and prosperous. And we're doing it all with the best deals the best people and the best leadership. As I always say we will make America great again. And we're already doing it folks. You'll see.
