Yabba Dabba Doo what in Bedrock is going on here? Fred Flinstone here reporting live from my stone house and let me tell you even in prehistoric times we're feeling the pinch of these blasted electricity prices. Goldman Sachs some big brains from the future are saying that these newfangled 'AI data centers' are gobbling up power faster than I can devour a brontosaurus rib. And guess who's footing the bill? Yours truly and probably you too.

Dino Sized Demand Tiny Stone Age Supply

These eggheads at Goldman Sachs say electricity prices jumped almost 7% this year. That's more than double the regular price hikes. And they predict it's gonna keep climbing because these data centers need juice and we ain't got enough rocks to grind into power fast enough. They're saying this is gonna hit the pocketbooks harder than a bowling ball to Barney's head reducing our spending money and slowing down the whole Bedrock economy. Bedrock Budgets Busted Where Will the Clamshells Go?

It gets worse folks. This ain't hitting everyone equally. Those of us with less clamshells to spare are gonna feel this the hardest. Electricity takes a bigger bite out of our budgets. And if you live near one of these data center doohickeys you might as well start saving up now. "The income and spending drags will likely be larger for lower income households because electricity accounts for a greater share of their spending," some smart fella named Manuel Abecasis from Goldman said. He's right it's a hard knock life.

Wilma Wilma Wherefore Art Thou Cheap Electricity

This whole mess is causing a political dust up too. Seems like folks are pointing fingers at who's to blame for these rising costs. Some are saying these newfangled companies better start paying their fair share to build more power plants. Even President Trump is getting involved. He made some deal with Microsoft promising they won't let these data centers bankrupt us. But Wilma always says a promise is a promise but only if you can deliver the goods.

PJM's Pain A Massive Wealth Transfer

There's this thing called 'PJM Interconnection' which sounds like some kind of dinosaur wrestling league but it's actually about electricity across a bunch of states. Apparently data centers are causing chaos there too. Some watchdog group is saying these centers are costing PJM billions and all those costs get passed down to us regular Joes. They call it a "massive wealth transfer." I call it highway robbery. Yabba Dabba Doo indeed.

So what's a caveman to do? Well we gotta keep an eye on these politicians and make sure they're doing right by us. We gotta demand fair prices and hold these big companies accountable. And maybe just maybe we can convince the Great Gazoo to zap some sense into these data centers and make them use less power. Otherwise we're all gonna be living in the dark ages again.
