Mission Objective Revive Jeep

Cortana it seems Jeep is counting on the return of the Cherokee to pull off a Lazarus maneuver in the U.S. market. After a three year vacation this SUV is back and it's packing hybrid technology aiming for the compact and midsize vehicle sectors. They're calling it a "critical vehicle." Sounds like a job for a Spartan wouldn't you agree?

The Numbers Game Stellantis' Sales Strategy

Stellantis aims to pump up retail sales by 25% by 2026. That's a bold move even for an AI like you Cortana. Richard Cox believes the new Cherokee is a "huge part of their growth." They're looking to recapture defected customers. Speaking of growth if you are interested in understanding upcoming data center technology check out Quantum Computing's Data Center Debut Awaits.

Dealer's Take Nail It or Fail It

Sean Hogan a Stellantis dealer thinks the 25% sales target is attainable. He mentioned "We've been missing Cherokee. It's huge to us. It's huge to Jeep and I think they nailed it." It's a good thing to have the boots on the ground agree with the plan. Let's hope they "nailed it" better than I nailed that landing on Installation 04 back in '01.

Production Hurdles Making More Jeeps

The Cherokee is currently being assembled in Toluca Mexico. Plans to ramp up production at an Illinois plant are expected next year. AutoForecast Solutions predicts Jeep's U.S. sales will jump by 10% this year. Let's just hope they can keep up with demand.

Hybrid Power A New Kind of Jeep

The 2026 Cherokee sports a traditional hybrid system a technology popularized by the Toyota Prius. Jeep is claiming 37 combined miles per gallon. Mike Cockell calls it a "Swiss army knife." I wonder if it can cut through Covenant armor. Probably not.

Pricing and Competition Battlefield Jeep

Starting prices range from roughly $37,000 to $46,000. The bestselling model is expected to be the $39,995 Cherokee Laredo. They are benchmarking against Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR V. "We have a number of customers that have either defected or they've moved into something else because we didn't have a product offering for them. So this is our chance to get them back into the family." Let the best vehicle win I guess.
