Kamehame Taxi Goes Live

Heya folks Goku here Reporting live from… well not really live. I'm still learning this whole typing thing. But listen up because this is important. Waymo those Google guys' robot car thingy just launched in four new cities. Dallas Houston San Antonio and Orlando are about to get a taste of the future. A future where even I might consider taking a break from Instant Transmission… maybe.

Fear Factor: Over 9000 Worries?

Now I hear some folks are scared of these driverless cars. Apparently a survey says 6 out of 10 Americans are a bit nervous. Nervous? Ha like facing Frieza for the first time That's real pressure! But seriously I get it. Change can be scary even scarier than when I first went Super Saiyan. But Waymo's trying to show everyone they're safe they're reliable and maybe just maybe they won't crash into a tree while I'm busy eating a senzu bean. Speaking of tech and future challenges are you ready for Big Tech's AI Gamble Is It a Boom or a Bust? Only time will tell!

Rivals Charging Up Their Ki

Of course Waymo isn't the only one trying to ride this wave. Tesla Zoox and some other smaller guys are all trying to get their robotaxis on the road. It's like a mini Tournament of Power but with cars instead of fighters. May the best AI win I always say to Vegeta but never listesn. Meanwhile overseas these guys called Apollo Go and WeRide are already snagging market share. Gotta keep up Waymo Just like training for the Cell Games you need to stay one step ahead

Invitation Only Shenanigans

So how do you get a ride in one of these things? Well right now it's "select riders" only. If you've got the Waymo app you might get an invite. They're planning to open it up to everyone by the end of 2026. That gives me plenty of time to master this whole internet thingy maybe even write my own Dragon Ball fanfiction.

Texas and Florida Get a Boost

Waymo says this expansion shows their "commitment" to Texas and Florida. They're already running in Miami and Austin. It's like they're trying to collect all the Dragon Balls of transportation. They use their fifth generation driver system in Jaguar I PACEs. Fancy right? They've even got a new system for employees using Geely's Ojai electric cars. I wonder if they can beat my Nimbus Cloud for speed. Hmmm..

Funding and Future Fights

These guys aren't messing around. They raised a whopping $16 billion in funding. That's enough to buy a lifetime supply of senzu beans And Alphabet Google's big boss is throwing most of the cash their way. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The auto safety people are watching them closely especially around schools. And apparently when the power went out in San Francisco some Waymos caused a bit of a traffic jam. Not cool Waymo Not cool. Still they're doing over 400,000 trips a week. Not bad for a bunch of robots trying to drive like me… but probably not as exciting.
