Chaos in the Air Literally
Well hello there citizens of the world. Jinx here reporting live from… well not *live* live because who has time for that nonsense? But I'm reporting alright? So things got a tad bit explodey over in the Middle East seems like everyone decided to share the fun with each other at once. All that boom boom kablooey business meant planes were grounded faster than you can say 'loose cannon'. And trust me I know a thing or two about loose cannons. It's like when Silco tried to tell me what to do only with more international implications and fewer shimmer induced meltdowns.
Dusting Off the Runways
Turns out even fancy planes need a break when things go all "Pow Pow" in the neighborhood. But guess what? The dust is settling and those winged metal birds are starting to stretch their uh wings. Dubai being the overachiever it is has given some flights the thumbs up to take off. First out the gate was Emirates flight EK500 heading to Mumbai. Imagine the chaos all those delayed passengers stampeding to get on board. Makes my kind of chaos look almost… organized? Limited Flights Only—Don't Get Any Ideas
Hold your horses you jet setting maniacs. This isn't a full blown return to normal. We're talking "limited number of flights". So if you're picturing yourself sipping cocktails on a beach in Bali you might want to pump the brakes a little. Airlines are prioritizing those who booked earlier so if you just decided to hop on a plane on a whim well tough luck. Maybe try inventing a time machine or convincing Viktor to build you a personal teleporter. That's more my style anyway.
Stranded and Scrambling
Speaking of tough luck poor souls are stranded all over the place. El Al the Israeli airline is considering hiring private jets. They thought about flying into Taba Egypt but seems like someone somewhere didn't want that to happen for security reasons. Probably for the best who knows what kind of shenanigans I could have gotten up to in Egypt.
Abu Dhabi on Pause
Meanwhile over in Abu Dhabi Etihad Airways has put a big ol' 'pause' button on all commercial flights until Wednesday afternoon. Though there might be some exceptions for cargo and get this 'repatriation flights'. Translation: bringing people home. Who knew airlines could be so… responsible? Makes me almost want to fly on one. Almost.
Check Your Flight—Or Just Cause Mayhem
So here's the deal folks: If you're planning on flying anywhere near the Middle East double triple quadruple check with your airline. Don't just show up at the airport expecting a free ride. Unless you're me then you can do whatever you want. And if all else fails just blame it on the fishbones. Works every time.
