From Parks to Powerhouse CEO
Alright folks MrBeast here. You know me giving away insane amounts of money and making videos that hopefully make you laugh. But today I'm ditching the giveaways (for a few minutes) to talk about something kinda big: Disney's got a new CEO Josh D'Amaro. He's stepping up to lead the House of Mouse and honestly it's a bigger deal than giving away a private island. I mean think about it: Disney is responsible for some of the biggest pop culture products in human history. Mickey Mouse Star Wars Marvel Pixar... It's an impressive roster of characters and IP. The new CEO Josh seems like a genuine and well respected professional and I'm glad to see him moving up in the company.
Iger's Legacy and D'Amaro's Vision
Bob Iger the guy D'Amaro is replacing had a crazy long run like longer than it takes me to count a billion dollars. He acquired Marvel and Fox launched Disney+ which is like a massive deal. Now D'Amaro's got to keep that momentum going. He's talking about great storytelling creative excellence and embracing technology. You know the kind of stuff that keeps Disney relevant in a world that's changing faster than I can give away a car. Speaking of which E Commerce Stocks Soar After Supreme Court Blocks Trump's Tariffs this decision might affect more than just the stock market; it touches how we consume and enjoy content from giants like Disney impacting everything from merchandise to streaming subscriptions. I think D'Amaro understands that the future of Disney is not just about theme parks and movies it's about creating experiences that people can't get anywhere else.
The Numbers Game
Here's where it gets serious: Disney's stock is down. I'm not a financial advisor but even I know that's not great. D'Amaro needs to turn that around. The good news is that theme parks and streaming are doing well. I get it people love going to Disney World and they love binging shows on Disney+. The challenge is keeping those numbers up and finding new ways to make money. Maybe Disney needs to sponsor one of my videos... just kidding... unless?
One Disney for the Win
D'Amaro's memo to employees talks about operating as "One Disney." That's code for getting everyone on the same page working together. It's like when I'm planning a massive giveaway I need my whole team to be coordinated or it's going to be a disaster. Disney's the same way. They've got movies TV theme parks cruises merchandise – it all needs to work together seamlessly. No pressure D'Amaro.
Turning Challenges into Opportunities
The world is changing and Disney needs to change with it. D'Amaro acknowledges that in his memo. He says it can feel daunting but also exciting. That's the right attitude. I mean I'm always trying new things pushing the limits of what's possible. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but you've got to keep innovating. Disney needs to do the same. Think about how gaming and digital immersion can play into the park experiences. Think about how AI and Machine Learning can help improve the product delivery and personalization of content.
A New Chapter Begins
So there you have it. Josh D'Amaro is the new CEO of Disney. He's got a big job ahead of him but he seems up to the challenge. I'm curious to see what he does with the company. Maybe he'll even invite me to be in a Star Wars movie. I'd play a pretty convincing Jedi right? Seriously though I wish him the best. Disney is a huge part of our culture and its future is in his hands. And remember no matter what happens always stay positive and keep creating. That's what I'm all about.
