Leap to Leadership with AI or Game Over
It's a me Mario reporting live from the Mushroom Kingdom or well about Accenture! Seems like they're serious about this whole AI thing. Word on the street – or should I say from the Financial Times – is that Accenture big wigs gotta use AI tools regularly if they wanna climb the corporate flagpole. No AI no promotion. Mamma mia
No AI No 'Wahoo!'
The policy affects managers and senior managers globally. According to a spokesperson Accenture wants to be the 'reinvention partner of choice'. They emphasized the adoption of new tools and technologies. I hear their strategy to be the best also includes massive Capex investment AI Capex Explosion Who's Got the Golden Carrot. It seems that not everyone is affected but I wouldn't count on the exclusion lasting forever.
Upskill or Face the Goombas
Now here's where it gets interesting. Back in September Accenture hinted at a restructuring plan. Those who can't 'retool' with AI skills might find themselves… well let's just say they might be saying 'game over'. CEO Julie Sweet wants everyone to 'retrain and retool' at scale. Apparently 550,000 workers already got the AI crash course. That's a lotta mushrooms er training sessions.
Sweet's AI Vision: From Zero to Hero
Sweet herself said their AI investments are 'really paying off'. She told CNBC that every CEO and board knows AI is crucial. But here's the catch: most companies aren't AI ready. Sounds like they're trying to level up the whole industry. Maybe they should give everyone a Super Star.
Strategic Partnerships: The Secret Level Unlocked
Accenture's not going it alone. They've teamed up with some heavy hitters. Think OpenAI (ChatGPT Enterprise access for thousands) Anthropic (training 30,000 on Claude AI) and Palantir (AI training for 2,000+ staff). Sounds like they're building an all star team ready to take on Bowser I mean the competition.
Mamma Mia That's a Lotta AI
So what does it all mean? Accenture's betting big on AI. They're pushing their employees to embrace it or else. It's a high stakes game but in the world of tech you gotta jump high to reach the flagpole. Wahoo! Maybe I should brush up on my coding skills too. Time to a find some power ups.
