Kamehame ha! Oil Prices Take a Tumble
Hey there it's me Goku! Even I'm keeping an eye on the world's energy levels – though usually I'm more concerned with *my* energy levels and whether I can go Super Saiyan 3. So I heard that oil prices took a little dip. Apparently this Trump guy said Iran sent some oil tankers as a "present". A present huh? Wonder if they wrapped it nicely with a big bow. Maybe Cell was involved somehow…
Trump's "Present": A Senzu Bean for the Oil Market?
So this "present" meant that international benchmark Brent crude futures went down a bit and U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures followed suit. Sounds like a good start but like when I get a Senzu Bean from Korin it's just a temporary fix. We still need to train harder and watch out for bigger threats! Remember even with a full stomach Frieza can still throw a mean punch. Strait of Hormuz: More Important Than My Next Fight?
This Strait of Hormuz is a pretty important place like King Kai's planet is for learning the Spirit Bomb. Seems like a lot of oil goes through there and any trouble could mess things up. Trump's comments made it sound like things might be cooling down at least for now. But you know just like Frieza always comes back stronger these situations can change faster than I can say 'Kaio ken!'
Analysts Say: "It's Over 9000...Barrels!"
These "analysts" (sound like those guys who analyze my fighting style after I've already won) are saying that the oil market is still pretty fragile. One of them a lady named Paola Rodriguez Masiu said the market "absorbed" the disruption but now it's getting delicate. Apparently lots of oil has been used up. Makes me think of when I accidentally ate all of Bulma's food during one of our training sessions.
Inventory Drawdowns: A Saiyan's Empty Stomach
This Rystad Energy group says nearly 17.8 million barrels per day have been disrupted and around 500 million barrels of total liquids have been lost. That's a lot of oil! Sounds like my stomach after a long day of training and fighting. Makes you wonder who needs a Dragon Ball when you have a working oil pipeline?
Market Fragility: Proceed with Caution (and Maybe a Senzu Bean)
So in the end oil prices might be down for now but things could change faster than I can power up to Super Saiyan Blue. We need to stay alert just like when waiting for a good sparring match with Vegeta. Who knows what surprise attacks the future holds? Maybe I should start investing in Senzu Beans instead of oil…
