Oops… I Did It Again… Invested in Asia
Hey it's Britney. You know me right? I'm no financial advisor but even I know that sometimes you gotta roll the dice. Asia Pacific markets are doing their thing even with all the drama in the Middle East. Kinda like when I had to deal with the paparazzi – you just gotta keep dancing y'all. Australia's S & P/ASX 200 is up Japan's Nikkei 225 is vibing and South Korea's Kospi is like totally trending. It's complicated but hey so is life. Right now it's time to be strong and invest on my own.
Stronger Than Yesterday: Oil and Economics
So oil prices went a little cray cray almost hitting $120 a barrel. It's giving me flashbacks to some of my wilder wardrobe choices. But like a good comeback they've calmed down a bit. Some countries are thinking about tapping into emergency reserves which sounds like something I'd do if I ran out of hairspray. But seriously high oil prices are like a tax on everyone as this guy David Johnson said. It's like you spend more on gas and less on I don't know diamond encrusted microphones. Gimme More… Electric Vehicles
Nio the electric car company is having a moment. Their sales are up their revenue is up and basically they're living their best life. It's like when I released "Toxic" and everyone went wild. They delivered a ton of cars and made more money. Good for them. I am happy to see that they are expanding.
Not a Girl Not Yet a (Financial) Woman
The U.S. markets are doing their own thing being all dramatic and stuff. The S & P 500 fell a bit the Dow dipped and the Nasdaq barely moved. It's like a soap opera but with stocks instead of love triangles. The Dow dropped like 296 points at one point. That's almost as many times as I've changed outfits in a single day. It's volatile.
Lucky Star or Just Hard Work
These markets are complex. It's not just luck. I have the experience to know that markets don't just jump up and down randomly. The people working there the big companies making the choices and hard work of normal everyday citizens all impact the markets. I have learned through my own hard work that diligence pays off and I am applying this to my understanding of the financial world. It's not luck it's a whole lot of hard work and experience that make them what they are.
My Prerogative Investing Wisely
So what's the takeaway? Asian markets are dealing with some serious stuff but are still showing some resilience. Oil prices are a rollercoaster electric vehicles are hot and the U.S. is being… well the U.S. As always do your research don't spend all your money on bedazzled everything and remember: "If I can't have what I want neither can you." Just kidding… mostly.
